National Apprenticeship Week 2022

What is National Apprenticeship Week?

NAW is an annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships that takes place across England. It has been running on for 15 years and is a way for employers to highlight their apprenticeship opportunities and help young people understand and learn why an apprenticeship may be a good option for them in the future.

The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2022 is Build the Future. This theme shows how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and business to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.

 Why should I take part?

The more you take part in at an earlier age, the more you will understand and find out about apprenticeships. The more you know, the more informed you will be when you are making decisions about your future. By ‘informed decision’, we mean that you have researched all your options and made the right choice for you, rather than just doing what is easiest or what your friends/family/teachers think you should do.

National Apprenticeship Week also gives you the chance to ask questions to employers, apprentices or even the training providers about how apprenticeships work, what benefits you receive and their experiences! Just make sure you use the hashtag #NAW2022 to ask questions or find out about the opportunities available!
