Leading People: Understanding different leadership styles and the benefits of coaching to support people and improve performance. Awareness of organisational cultures, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Managing People: Knowledge of people and team management models, including team dynamics and motivation techniques. Understanding HR systems, legal requirements, performance management techniques, setting goals, conducting appraisals, and recognising achievement.
Building Relationships: Understanding approaches to customer and stakeholder relationship management, including emotional intelligence and managing conflict.
Communication: Understanding different forms of communication and their application.
Operational Management: Understanding how organisational strategy is developed. Knowledge of business planning techniques and how to manage resources and risk effectively.
Project Management: Understanding project lifecycle and roles. Knowledge of project management tools and techniques to plan, set targets, and monitor performance.
Finance: Understanding organisational governance and compliance, and how to deliver value for money. Knowledge of financial forecasting and monitoring, and controlling a budget.
Leading People: Able to communicate organisational strategy and team purpose, and adapt style to suit the audience.
Managing People: Able to build a high-performing team by supporting and developing individuals, and motivating them to achieve objectives.
Building Relationships: Building trust with and across the team, using effective negotiation and influencing skills, and managing any conflicts.
Communication: Able to communicate effectively, chair meetings, and present to a range of audiences.
Operational Management: Able to deliver against operational plans, manage resources, and adapt to changes.
Project Management: Able to plan, organise, and manage resources to deliver required outcomes.
Finance: Applying organisational governance and compliance requirements to ensure effective budget controls.
Takes Responsibility: Drive to achieve in all aspects of work. Demonstrates resilience and accountability.
Inclusive: Open, approachable, authentic, and able to build trust with others. Seeks views of others.
Agile: Flexible to the needs of the organisation. Is creative, innovative, and enterprising when seeking solutions to business needs.

Entry Requirements
This apprenticeship is suitable for:
✅ Individuals working in or aspiring to a team leadership or supervisory role in any industry
✅ Those employed in a relevant job role, where they can develop and apply leadership and management skills in the workplace
✅ Candidates with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (if not already achieved, Functional Skills support is available)
✅ Employees who want to develop their leadership, communication, team management, and operational planning skills to drive team performance and business success
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for apprenticeship funding, learners must:
Be aged 16 or over
Be employed in a relevant role for at least 30 hours per week
Have the right to work in England and have been resident in the UK/EEA for at least 3 years (some exceptions apply)
Not already hold a similar qualification at the same or higher level
